- 4 large ripe tomatoes, sliced (heirloom or vine-ripened preferred)
- 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 3 tablespoons high-quality extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze or balsamic vinegar (optional)

- On a serving platter or individual plates, alternate slices of tomato and fresh mozzarella in a circular pattern or straight rows.
2. Add Basil
- Tuck whole or torn basil leaves between the slices of tomato and mozzarella for a beautiful presentation.

- Drizzle the extra-virgin olive oil evenly over the salad. If using, add a drizzle of balsamic glaze or vinegar for extra flavor.
4. Season
